As a newborn photographer, I’ve been welcomed into many cozy living rooms and nurseries over the years, and each time, I’m reminded just how magical lifestyle newborn photography really is. If there are burp cloths in the corner or a bottle on the nightstand, that’s real life — and it’s beautiful 💛

One of the best parts of these sessions? Baby gets to stay in their comfort zone. No wrestling with car seats or timing feedings around appointments. You can nurse in your favorite chair, cuddle up in bed, or simply sway in the nursery you so thoughtfully created. It’s all about documenting these fleeting early days exactly as they are — soft, quiet, and full of emotion.

You, your baby, your partner, your home, your pets, older siblings — all of it is part of the story. I’ve found that parents are more relaxed, too. You can sip coffee in your comfiest sweater while I work my way around the room, capturing those tiny toes, the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms, and the way your eyes light up when you look at them ✨ These are the moments that matter.

And don’t worry about your space being "photo-ready." Natural light, a few windows, and your connection as a family are truly all we need. Some of the most touching images I’ve taken were in homes filled with baby gear and sleepy smiles.
