Looking Back on 2016 :: Family Portraits | Jacksonville, FL Family Portrait Photographer | St. Augustine, Fl Family Portraits
Today is also the day I look ahead. Make plans. Decide exactly what it is I want and make a plan to achieve it. An amazing Texas Photographer I follow said in 2017 her word was "Invest". Invest time in her family, her business, her health, her relationships. And it hit me immediately. That's what I needed.
I went back to photography because of my love of capturing families and milestones in thier lives. But I also wanted my family to be a priority. My girls to get the mom they deserve. One who can attend school activities, be welcoming and excited at the end of the day to hear all the stories, help with homework, spend time with them. I was not good at that balance. (Note: I know SO MANY amazing teachers who balance teaching and their families beautifully. Their kids are loved, cherished, as are their classroom kids. I myself, was not good at it.)
When I capture families I try and get what I would want as a mom. Photos of my kids truly smiling and laughing, Photos with mom, photos with dad, memories that they can cherish. That's my goal every session. To capture a snippet of time in a family's life. The love. The connection. All of it, for them to look back on fondly.
I hope each family I was blessed enough to capture this year feels that way. That the photos they have shows their kids personalities, their family's love. So, scroll through a few (there were SOOO many) of my favorites from this past year.
I look forward to all the amazing families I will get to meet this year. I'm scheduling now for Milestone (3 mos, 6 mos, 1 year) sessions and Family sessions January thru August 2017. Contact me to secure your moment captured.
