As many of you know, I lost my dad when I was 9, and since beginning my Photography career I have always LOVED daddy and child photos. How sweet they are together. The love. All of it. It gives me all the feelz. Watching a dad love, play with, enjoy his children. That is beautiful. So, Happy Father's Day to all the amazing father's out there. Read on for all my dad thoughts and a few pictures of wonderful dad's I have captured this year...
To the dads who stepped in as dad, but loved a child like their own. The dads who change diapers, comfort crying babies and support their wives when the newborn arrives.
To the dads who play. Teach your children crazy games, make crazy inventions and maybe, just maybe say yes, when mom says no. The dads who make it to recitals and games. Put down their phones and listen to the song their little one made up or teach them to change the wheels on their very first car.
The dads who fix broken toys, bandage invisible wounds, and carry tired children (sometimes more than 1) across a parking lot or up to bed. All the little things dads do that mean SO much to their children. The things you don't even realize make a lasting impression. Here's to the dads who set an example. Showing their daughters what love is and how she should expect to be treated. Or showing their sons how to treat a woman and how a dad should help and love.
Here's to you dads. All the amazing Father's out there to help make this world a better place because you care and invest time and love into your children. I hope each of you have a wonderful Father's Day. Especially my awesome hubby who has done all these and more for my girls.
