A Wish for All Moms | Happy Mother's Day | Jacksonville FL Family Photographer | St Augustine FL Family Photographer | Melody Coarsey Photography
Mom's Are Amazing.
Think about it. We make humans. Well, God makes humans, but inside our bodies. And sometimes, inside our hearts.
We love the little lives we never got to meet and the rainbow babies that we did.
Then we teach, love, protect, discipline (often) and help grow these little humans in hopes they become kind, productive, wonderful adults. Truly our hope is they become better than we are.
As LeeAnn Womack said,
"I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance."
We do. .We hope they are good to others, kind, compassionate, brave, strong, self confident (but not self absorbed). These are all the things and more we strive to instill in our kids. And often feel like we are failing at it.
But, the fact we even worry about failing. Means we are doing a good job.
So, as Mother's Day weekend is here my wish for all moms is to enjoy the weekend. Leave the mess and cuddle that child. Laugh, play, relax. Sweet tea, cup of coffee or a glass of wine in hand. Realize, these little people who call you mom. YOU ARE THEIR WORLD. YOU ARE AMAZING.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Awesome Moms out there. Raising little humans in the way that is perfect for your family. Ignoring the judgement, embracing their blessings, listening to their instincts and loving their kids.
For those who didn't see it last week, here's my shout out to moms everywhere. To all the stages of mommyhood. Feel free to share it with a mom you know who needs to be reminded of her awesomeness. We all need to hear it now and then.
