I was sitting here. Sipping tea and watching a Hallmark Christmas movie (don't judge. I'm a sap since becoming a mom.). Christmas shopping finally completed, presents wrapped, cards mailed, and I am content.
Actually, I'm happy. I'm not stressed, I'm excited about making memories with my girls the next few days. Not because I have to make up for feeling like a bad mom the past 18 weeks, but because I love them. I want to spend time with them. I want them to have memories of Christmas filled with love.
Now, I can let you in on something. This is the first year in a LONG time I have felt this way. I have to thank God who led me down this path, but I have to thank all of you. Amazing clients, perspective clients and even just those who enjoy my work. THANK YOU!
Sure, I have started working on my January and February calendars. Sure, I'm beginning to rework my Marketing plan, business Goals, objectives and strategy. All really boring business stuff, but necessary for sure. BUT right now. I can relax. I can slow down. I can savor the tree, a hot cup of tea, Christmas music while I walk my dog. The excitment as my girls see more presents under the tree and search for the Elf each morning. All of it.
So, I wanted to just say Thank You. To all of you. I can't wait to see what 2017 brings. And I hope each of you begin to slow down. Remember our littles are not little long and we need to savor it. Remember (yes, they are fighting and we want to throw presents in the fire to make a point) this is a time of Magic for them. Spread Christmas cheer, spread love. In a world with so much hate, slow down and do your part to fill it with love. Will I buy a coffee for the people behind me? Sure. Will I buy a lunch for someone? Buy toys for kids who need them, serve food at a Homeless shelter. Whatever helps you feel good inside because you are spreading love. Even a smile and Merry Christmas can do it's part.
Yes, Slow Down. Savor Christmas. Spread Love.
I hope everyone has a VERY Merry Christmas!
